Question: In Word how do I work in several documents at one time?

Dear Energetic,

With the aid of the window icon (Alt W) the drop down menu that appears will list all the documents opened.  With your mouse select the document you wish to work in.  Cutting or copying and pasting from one document to another is made easy when both documents are open.
