FBFT Sports Writing Competition
The entries may be prose or poetry, fiction or non-fiction.
Closing date: 13th May 2012 (last day of the Premier League football season.)
Prizes: First place, £50; Second place, £30; Third place, £20 (paid in British Pounds Sterling by bank transfer or Paypal) The three winning articles will receive the cash prizes as detailed and will be published on the website. We are particularly interested in sports writing that is original, exciting or somehow out of the ordinary.
Entry fee: FREE.
The FBFT Sports Writing Competition 2012 is open to anyone aged 18 years or older.
Entries may be anything up to 1500 words in length and must be related to sport in some way. Entries may be non-fiction, fiction, prose or poetry.

The Sportswriter Competition 2012
Closing date: Midnight on the 1st July 2012, the day of the Euro 2012 Final.
Prizes: First place: £250; Second place: £75; Third place: £25; (paid in British Pounds Sterling by bank transfer, cheque or through PayPal)
Entry fee: £3.00, of which £1.00 will be donated to our chosen charity, Cyclists Fighting Cancer ( http://cyclistsfc.org.uk/ ). Entries may be fiction or non-fiction, prose or poetry.
The Sportswriter Competition 2012 is open to anyone aged 18 years or older. Submissions may be up to 2000 words or 40 lines for poetry and should relate to sport in some way. Winning entrants will receive the cash prizes and their work will be published on the website, www.sportswriter.org.uk .
