The theme this year is "One Moment in Time". Yes, another song title! Just weave your story around a moment, an incident, a revelation, in your character's life that dramatically changed things. Whether for good or not so good, it doesn't matter, but remember, as with all my competitions, I expect to see things come good in the end. (Opportunity for a twist in the tail there!)

It can be anything from a trivial incident, a thow-away remark, to a life changing occurrence. Anything. Just create your story to move, excite, set the pulses of the judges racing. A tough call I know, but give it a go!

Rules of the Competition

• Use 11or 12pt Arial in double spacing. Use one side of the paper only. 
• Put the title of the story at the top of each page and number the pages. 
• Entries must be accompanied by this Entry Form – no cover page required. 
• Your story should be between 1,000 and 1,500 words. 
• Weave your story around the theme "One Moment in Time", but do not use this as your title. 
• The name of the author, or other personal details should not appear on the manuscript. 
• Entries accepted as a Word document, in RTF, txt or PDF formats. 
• Ensure you have put sufficient postage on your envelope if submitting by post. 
• No strong sex, violence or bad language please. 
• Entry fee is £3.50 for 1 story, £6.00 for two. Pay by UK sterling cheque on a UK bank, by Postal Order or by Credit Card through PayPal button below. 
• Copyright remains with the author. 
• Winning entries will be published on the WritersReign website. Please do not enter unless you accept this condition. 
• If you require acknowledgement of receipt of postal entries, please enclose a stamped and self-addressed postcard.
